China Songuo Motors, set up a Cooperative Factory in Dangjin
A Chinese auto company will set up a factory in South Korea to produce 50,000 units per year.
China Songuo Motors cooperated with South Korea's Jianyuan Group to establish a cooperative factory in the Seongmun National Industrial Complex in Dangjin. Beginning in September next year, SONGUO's 1-ton trucks will be produced in local assembly. Until the annual production capacity reaches 50,000 units by 2022, the supply of equipment and modules will not only be sold in South Korea but also exported to Southeast Asia.
SONGUO cars are very different from traditional cars.
The replacing of the metal material which used to be the core part for a car is the most typical feature, and the body frame and body of the new material polymer are applied. In this way, the burden of environmental pollution and safety problems caused by the painting process can be greatly reduced, and the lightweight of the vehicle body, the reduction of the body parts, and the performance of the vehicles can be greatly assisted.
According to the study of SONGUO, the weight of the vehicle body has decreased by more than 20% compared with the conventional cars. In the case of electric vehicles of the same capacity, only the body structure is different, the driving distance has been greatly improved.
In addition, each part can be independently modularized according to the assembly situation, can be used as a kit in the production line, and can be constructed in a variety of local assembly systems. A variety of modules are available for standard equipment that has been developed, and can be applied to the assembly of a variety of vehicles such as passenger vehicles and cargo vehicles.
