The reporter learned that compared with the traditional auto process, the unpainted color polymer composite body has the characteristics of no need to spray, same internal and external color, light weight, high strength, high weather resistance, etc., fill the international gaps on car body technology applications of new materials. Using the mold independently developed by the company, the body cover can be injection molded in 40 seconds to 140 seconds. It is not only beautiful in color, but also in the same color inside and outside, and it is resistant to abrasion, and the whole production process is green.
Strengthen the innovation engine and overthrow the traditional manufacturing process
In the Songuo project exhibition hall, the company's responsible person showed us the first TORO models that had just passed the certification of the Korean Ministry of Transport and Safety. The reporter noticed that these exquisite and fashionable new energy vehicles are somewhat different from traditional cars: first, the outer casing is made of "plastic"; secondly, a new energy logistics vehicle driven by using liquefied natural gas, a kind of “traditional energy”.
“The Songuo has a complete EIC control system developed by itself. The battery pack technology provided by Samsung SDI has passed the international safety certification, passed the 4.9-meter high-rise body (standard requirement is 4.5 meters), soaked salt water, high temperature, Tests such as long-term vibration; self-developed AC motors, energy conversion rate reached 94%; electronic control system has independent learning ability, can be adjusted according to the driver's driving habits, so that the vehicle reaches the optimal driving state. Songuo Motors further optimized the SKD modular production process, divided the vehicles into 46 modules, produced the core components of the semi-finished modules at the Yucheng base, and shipped the modules to the overseas SKD assembly plants, where the vehicle assembly was completed. Direct access to local distribution systems and after-sales systems allows Songuo to quickly launch global markets. Songuo New Energy Vehicles that has not yet been put into production, has received orders for 800,000 vehicles in 52 countries, with a total value of nearly $6 billion.
Full industrial chain, self-contained industrial cluster
It is worth noting that the Songuo Motors has settled in the city, and “owns” the upstream industry and is a self-contained industrial cluster. The industrial cluster is mainly composed of the upstream and downstream industrial chain enterprises of Songuo Motors and the new energy equipment industrial complex of Dezhou High-tech Zone. In the complex, 13 upstream and downstream industrial chains including body, interior, motor, electric control, battery and logistics are formed, forming a complete industrial chain. From parts procurement to marketing and domestic and international logistics, the entire complex operates independently.
In the field of high-tech integration such as new energy vehicles, how can we control the quality of upstream suppliers? The decision of the Songuo Vehicles are "Do it ourselves." The gas engines used in the products are developed and produced by Songuo Engine Technology & Powertrain. “Songuo chooses to participate in the shareholding of major suppliers. In non-special cases, the general ratio is 10% to 30%. We do not seek a controlling stake, but we must ‘know inside out’” Zheng Chunyuan introduced.
The complexity of the production process is ultimately reflected in the supply chain system. "We have compressed the upstream suppliers to 1,000, and the B-type suppliers are basically around 2,000." According to Zheng Chunyuan, there are 24 registered enterprises in the new energy equipment industrial complex. In addition to Songuo Motors, the equipment of Songuo Engine Technology & Powertrain has begun to enter the market. The G-Songuo composite materials are expected to complete the construction of the plant by the end of this year, and the packaging materials project for the project has been put into production.
Targeting the frontier to attract talents, bigger and stronger headquarters economy
The products of Songuo Motors mainly include new energy vehicles such as logistics vehicles, cars, special vehicles, and big and medium-sized buses. The core team comes from world-renowned automobile manufacturing companies such as Germany, the United States, and South Korea. With 10 years of technical reserves, and the establishment of 10 major professional R&D centers in Korea, Songuo is the first to realize the positive development of the core technologies of new energy vehicles in China, which provides a possibility for their entire industrial chain layout.
In fact, many research institutes and technical departments such as automotive engineering and design of Songuo Motors, as well as the world's first SKD assembly plant project are not in China. From modeling to assembly and sales, Songuo Motors, which is located in the Dezhou High-tech Zone, is more like an “outward industry”.
While accelerating the construction of the project, nine overseas assembly plants including Italy, Nigeria and South Korea were launched during the year. The orders for new energy vehicles received have exceeded the capacity of the project for the next two years. “At present, our core operational headquarter, technology integration and production base are all located in the Dezhou High-tech Zone. R&D, production, products, market, logistics all need a lot of talents. What we need is not academics, but actual combatants. Therefore, I hope that the government can focus on the talent introduction policy and don’t regard the certificate as the sole criterion for talent evaluation, and help enterprises expand their talent mapping.” Zheng Chunyuan said that even if the current project has not really entered the stage of mass production, the company is on the front line. The training of employees has been on the right track last year, regularly organizing training, tempering employees' skills with work practices, and gradually forming a solid accumulation.
