The First Paint-less Color Body Panel is off the Assembly Line in SONGUO Motors Dezhou High-tech Zone Base
While the mechanical arm steadily falling down the quality inspection platform, at 17:00 on October 20th, the first unpainted color polymer material body panel is off the assembly line in the injection molding workshop of the SONGUO Motors Dezhou High-tech Zone Base.
Based on positive research and development, SONGUO insists on leading industrial innovation with new materials, new technologies and new processes. By mastering the core technology, the world's first application and industrial production of Paint-less color polymer new materials in new energy vehicles will be realized. The application of new materials has enabled SONGUO Motors to abandon the stamping, welding and painting processes of traditional automobiles for more than 130 years. No need for spraying, and same color for inside and outside, light weight, high strength and high weather resistance, and they all fill the international gaps on car body technology applications of new materials. This new material can be recycled, which will make car production much greener and more environmentally friendly, while maintenance costs are greatly reduced.
The new energy equipment industrial complex in SONGUO Dezhou High-tech Zone started the construction in July 2018. The three major workshops with a construction area of nearly 150,000 square meters in the first phase have all been delivered at the end of September. At present, the equipment installation and commissioning of the first phase is conducted intensively.
The first Paint-less color polymer body panel means that the installation and commissioning of the project equipment has reached a phased goal. Next, we will enter the equipment joint commissioning trial phase to lay the foundation for the upcoming trial production.
