Liu Bingguo Mayor of Dezhou leads the delegation to visit Japan, Korea and Philippine
From 24th March to 2nd April, Liu Bingguo Deputy Secretary of municipal Party committee and Mayor of Dezhou leads the delegation of Dezhou to attend Japan and Korea Business week in Shandong and series of commercial activities in Philippine. Zhang Anmin, Standing Committee of municipal Party committee, Secretary General and Secretary of Party Committee of Yucheng attends these activities. The delegation meets local political, business and academic community, and actively introduces new achievements, opportunities and visions of Dezhou, and deepens the cooperation, so as to effectively drive the integration of Dezhou into the Belt and Road Initiative, the improvement of open economy and the transformation of new and old kinetic energy.
In Japan, the delegation visits RST Corporation, a leading company of global wafer remanufacturing industry, JFE Steel Company-Keihin Plant, one of the largest steel business conglomerates around the world, Japan and China Friendship Association, ShuangRi Corporation headquarter and WanHong Corporation headquarter. Liu Binguo learns details about technological process and technical standard of the industry in manufacturing workshop and talk with managers of the company deeply. He says that Dezhou government highlights the cooperation in Dezhou between RST Corporation and Grinm Corporation in Beijing, JFE Steel Company-Keihin Plant and XuRi business conglomerate of Shandong. In addition, on the principle of complementary advantages and mutual benefit, Dezhou government will give full support to the cooperation including timely and efficient services as a way to ensure the completion of the projects soon.
During the Investment Cooperation Conference in Shandong (Tokyo) Province, XURI Company of Shandong and Sojitz JECT Corporation of Japan sign ultra-high power graphite electrode project with 30 thousand tons output annually as a key investment project out of 15 projects in Shandong Province. Major leaders of provincial and municipal government meet important guests and jointly witness the signing of cooperation agreement.
During the visit, Dezhou delegation attends Shandong-Korea Economic and Trade Cooperation and Exhibition Fair. The signing ceremony of cooperation and joint venture projects between SONGUO motors in Dezhou, Shandong Province and 18 countries are held in high-tech zone of Dezhou. Liu Bingguo says that electric vehicle industry is a strategic emerging industry in Dezhou with priority, and already forms a relatively complete industry chain. He hopes that SONGUO motors will take the signing ceremony as a chance to speed up its strategic layout and promote the upgrading and innovative development of electric vehicle through its cooperation with international well-known vehicles marketing companies. Dezhou government will make the best to create the most favorable environment, and provide the most convenient services with the greatest sincerity to ensure the development of enterprises’ development.
Siheung city, Gyeonggi-do, Republic of Korea is a sister city of Dezhou. Liu Bingguo holds a conversation with Ren Bingze Mayor of Siheung and speaks highly of the fruits that achieved by exchanges and cooperation between the cities. He says that it has been 14 years since the establishment of bilateral friendship, and both cities achieved great accomplishments in promoting exchanges in culture and teenagers. Dezhou is accelerating its integration of the development into Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei Provinces area and struggling to build “the fourth base of the area”. He hope that both cities can continue to expand cooperation and exchanges so as to jointly embrace a bright future of friendly exchanges.
The delegation holds a meeting with Korean CJ Corporation in order to promote business cooperation between ZHONGJIAOYINGCHAO Hot Pepper Development CO., LTD and CJ Corporation in processing semi-finished Korean style sauce. As a result, both parties reach a consensus in landing the project.
Philippine is an important member of ASEAN, embracing profound traditional relationship with China. Tomb of Saltanah Sulu East king is located in Dezhou, which has witnessed the friendship between China and Philippine. In recent years, Dezhou’s exchanges and cooperation with Philippine have been becoming increasingly close. For example, there are 115 enterprises that make trades with Philippine. In Philippine, the delegation meets Philippine President's Special Envoy for China affairs, Shi Gongqi the Honorary Chairman of Oishi Corporation and Daria Loyola the Mayor of Carmona, and promotes the industrial Park project of Oishi and establishment of close relations between Dezhou and Carmona.
The delegation also inspects new Bonifacio Global City project and Bahay Tsinoy. When they visit General Commerce Chamber of Bahay and Chinese General Commerce Chamber in Philippine, Liu Bingguo says that the latter is a key institution of industrial and business community of Chinese people in Philippine, and has been working hard to enhance the friendship between two countries’ people and promote the development in economy and trade. Both parties should pursue a closer relationship by deeper understanding to each other and seek more cooperation of enterprises, so as to achieve mutual benefit. The delegation discusses joint holding of Philippine Exoticism Week in Dezhou with Chinese General Chamber of Commerce in Philippine, and holds the opening ceremony of Philippine Liaison Office of Association of foreign friendship for people in Dezhou, Shandong Province.
At the end of the visiting, Liu Bingguo highlights that Dezhou embraces immense potential and promising future in commercial cooperation with relevant cities in Japan, Korea and Philippine. He said that the cooperation should be in line with new development philosophy, deepen market reform, and further promote quality opening. It needs to be committed to attracting talents and investments in a global view to increasingly drive the development of export-oriented economy of Dezhou and improve international governance of enterprises. Dezhou’s government and enterprises should learn advanced philosophy and successful experiences from the cities in industries of new energy, advanced manufacturing and modern services, speed up the conversion of new and old kinetic energy and facilitate quality development. The government must stick to its philosophy that government creates favorable environment and enterprise drives economy and work hard to achieve the development featuring less approval process, higher efficiency, good service and strong sense of acquisition for enterprises. In doing so, the advantage of integration of policy, service and environment will be fostered so as to provide top service and favorable environment to investors from home and abroad and innovation, entrepreneurship and creation by all market entities.
